a shortcut for anyone standing in kochi at eight in the evening wondering where to eat. the city is split across fort kochi, ernakulam, kakkanad and the backwaters, forty minutes and a bridge apart, and most guides only cover the tourist end of it. this one tries not to.
thirty places. never more. the cap is the point, because a list that can grow forever stops being a recommendation and becomes a directory.
this first version is evidence only. every number on the site is the google rating and its review count, read in august 2026, from one consistent source. we do not publish a score of our own yet, because we have not eaten our way through all thirty, and inventing a number we cannot defend would be worse than showing you someone else's.
by the dish, or by the format of the room. never by ethnicity or origin. nobody standing on broadway at eight in the evening is thinking about which community's food they want, they are thinking about kappa and meen curry, or about whether anything is still open.

every card has a save button. saving puts the place into a plan that lives at the bottom of the screen, and you can add days to it and drag places between them until the order makes sense. it stays in your browser, so there is no account and nothing to sign up to, and it will still be there tomorrow. it also disappears if you clear your browser, which is the honest trade.
